PRO and Head of Clinic

In a bid to gather more information on the ongoing health examination exercise, the Information unit crew while speaking with the Head of College Clinic Mrs. Babatunde Mary Omoladun made it know that the initiative of the health examination exercise was propelled by the death of a former staff who left the College for Kwara State University Malate and another staff.

She said that after the staffers demise, the Ag. Provost Dr. Jimoh Ahmed Ayinla made it known to her that there is an immediate need for all staff to be aware of their health status and do the needful whenever the need arises.

Mrs. Babatunde however added that although the turnout of staff for yesterday exercise wasn’t encouraging, perhaps the awareness was not enough. In view of this, she said they have therefore employed a paperwork method where the notification is distributed across all schools, departments and units respectively.

She then said that after the exercise, each staff would be issued their medical report and those whose health status is not in a good state would be contacted for immediate counselling, necessary attention and treatment. While those who need urgent medical attention outside the college be referred would be referred appropriately for necessary measures required.

The Head of the College Clinic, therefore, advised the staff of the imperativeness to take their health very dear and important because many of them tend not to take their health as paramount as expected, adding that many slumps just anyhow due to the tension and stressful situations they expose themselves to.

She however urged all staff to make their health first in all they do and shun every act of nonchalance towards their healthy living. “Health she said is wealth”.
