7.0 Requirements for Admission into NCE Sandwich Programmes
The NCE Sandwich course is for a duration of five contact sessions. Candidates admitted for the programme will be required to attend a ten-week contact term per session during each long vacation. During the remaining part of each session, students will be required to submit assignments/projects as scheduled by their Departments.
Applicants for admission should normally be serving teachers in recognized schools and may possess any of the following qualifications:
(i) The Grade II Teachers’ with Credit or Merit in two Combinable subjects.
(ii) The GCE ‘O’ Levels/WASSC/NECO Senior School Certificates with five passes at a sitting, two of which must be at credit level and combinable.
(iii) Associateship Certificate in Education.
(iv) Grade II Teachers’ Certificate with flat pass and with at least five years post qualification experience.
