Brief Profile

Mr. Sadiq Bolaji Nasir is a lecturer in the Department of Physics and the current Head of the Physics Department at Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, Nigeria. He holds a B.Tech. in Physics Electronics from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the National Teachers’ Institute (NTI), and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Science Education . He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Science Education.

With years of experience in teacher education, Mr. Nasir has taught Physics and Science Education across the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) and degree programmes. His research interests span Physics Education, Science Education, Artificial Intelligence in Education, STEM Education, educational assessment, institutional rankings, higher education quality assurance, and innovative teaching and learning strategies. He has a growing passion for advancing institutional visibility through global university rankings, research excellence, academic collaborations, and sustainable educational development.

He has served the College in several leadership and administrative capacities, including Head of the Physics Department, School of Sciences project coordinator , Welfare Committee member, Level Adviser, and member of the committee that developed the Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS) for Physics Education for Kwara State University of Education.

Mr. Nasir has participated in numerous national and international conferences, workshops, and capacity-building programmes on research methodology, scientific writing, digital education, institutional development, and telecommunications. He has also facilitated professional development workshops on institutional rankings and global visibility for higher education institutions.

He is the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP), Kwara State Chapter, and a member of the Association of Ranking Professionals (ARP), the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN), the Integrated Science Educators Association of Nigeria (ISEAN), the Society of Digital Information and Wireless Communications (SDIWC), and the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT).

In addition to his academic qualifications, Mr. Nasir holds internationally recognized certifications in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), including Liquid Penetrant Testing (Level II), Ultrasonic Testing (Level II), Magnetic Particle Testing (Level II), and Radiographic Testing (Level II).

His professional philosophy is centred on academic excellence, impactful research, innovation, quality assurance, institutional visibility, and the continuous improvement of science education through evidence-based teaching, collaborative research, and strategic leadership.
